Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
The short version
We only collect what you type into our contact or booking form — your name, phone, email and what you need help with. It goes straight to our notary by email so we can reply and book you in.
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It has no advertising pixels and no marketing cookies, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Who we are
Notary Stamp Scarborough is a notary public and commissioner of oaths practice based in Scarborough, Ontario. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, notarystampscarborough.ca.
- Address: 1225 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, Ontario, M1P 4Y1, Suite 2000, Unit #2020
- Phone: 416-951-3301
- Email: kershtein@gmail.com
What we collect through this website
Contact form
When you send a message through our contact page, we collect the name, phone number, email address and message you enter.
Booking form
When you book through our appointment page, we collect the service you select, the date and time you choose, your name, phone number, email address and any notes you add.
Standard server records
Like virtually every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build any profile of you.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information through these forms — such as government ID numbers, financial details or the contents of your legal documents. Bring those to your appointment instead.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly which town or city they are in. It tells us that a page was opened; it does not tell us who you are. We never send your name, phone number, email address or anything you typed into a form to Google Analytics, and we have not enabled any advertising or remarketing feature on it. Google states that Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that switches it off on every site you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
What this website does not do
- No advertising pixels. There is no Meta, Google Ads or other ad-network tracking code on this site.
- No marketing cookies. Nothing here follows you to other websites or builds an advertising profile.
- No selling of data. We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- No account or password required. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No payments taken online. Fees are paid in person by cash or e-Transfer; no card details ever touch this website.
How we use your information
We use what you submit only to:
- Reply to your question or request
- Confirm and schedule your appointment
- Send you a confirmation email about your booking
- Keep an ordinary business record of the enquiry
We do not send marketing newsletters or promotional email from this website.
Cookies
Two kinds of cookie may be set on this site, and no others:
- Analytics. Google Analytics sets a cookie (
_ga) so that the same person opening three pages is counted once rather than three times. It expires after two years and carries a random number, not your identity. - Security. Cloudflare Turnstile, our anti-spam check on the forms, may set a strictly necessary cookie while it verifies that you are a person.
We set no advertising or marketing cookies, so nothing here follows you to other websites. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and use the Google opt-out add-on linked above; the site works normally either way.
Third parties who may process data
We keep outside services to a deliberate minimum. These are the only ones involved:
Google Analytics — visitor statistics
Google Analytics 4 receives the address of the page you opened, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type and an approximate location derived from your connection. It does not receive your name, your email address or anything you typed into a form. The data is used only to understand which pages are worth improving.
Cloudflare Turnstile — spam protection
Our contact and booking forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people apart from automated bots. When you submit a form, Cloudflare receives technical signals such as your IP address and browser characteristics to perform that check. It is not used to advertise to you.
Google Maps — only if you choose
The maps on our contact and location pages are not loaded automatically. You will see a placeholder, and the map from Google only loads if you tap it. That means no data goes to Google Maps unless you actively choose to open the map.
Email delivery
Form submissions are delivered to our notary as email using Gmail's mail service, and a copy of the message is stored on our web server so that no enquiry is lost. Your booking confirmation is sent to you the same way.
Web hosting
Our hosting provider stores the website files, the server logs described above, and the saved copies of form submissions.
Note that our fonts are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from Google Fonts, so simply reading this site does not send your details to a font provider.
Documents and identification at your appointment
Notarization requires us to see valid government-issued photo identification and the documents being signed. That happens in person at our office — never through this website. Any identification or document you show us during an appointment is handled confidentially and in keeping with our professional obligations as a notary public and commissioner of oaths. If you would like details of how records from your appointment are kept, please ask us directly.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and booking information only as long as we reasonably need it to serve you and to maintain normal business records. If you would like your enquiry or booking details deleted, contact us and we will remove them, unless we are required to keep them by law.
Your rights
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Withdraw your consent to us holding it
- Make a complaint about how we handled your information
To exercise any of these, email kershtein@gmail.com or call 416-951-3301. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and our forms are protected against automated abuse. Please keep in mind that no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason not to send sensitive documents or ID numbers through the website.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging notary services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
